Product Description
Mizuno has updated the midsole technology of the Wave Lightning 6 to an AP+ midsole for serious cushioning ability. Volleyball players will notice this addition right away, as the AP+ provides for greatly increased rebound and cushion durability while maintaining its light weight. The Wave Lightning 6 also features an enhanced XG Rubber outsole technology, which provides for the ultimate in traction and flexibility on the court. One of the most important features of a volleyball shoe is its ability to provide adequate traction on court surfaces. XG Rubber technology provides volleyball players with constant contact and traction, allowing them to make quick cuts and lateral movements without losing their footing.
The signature feature of the Wave Lightning 6 is the Mizuno Wave technology, which helps disperse impact forces uniformly over the length and width of the midsole, providing unrivaled cushioning and comfort. The Mizuno Wave also resists overpronation, thus relieving stress on ankle and knee joints. It provides for lightweight cushioning and enhanced stability.
The Men’s Wave Lightning 6 also features Mizuno’s VS-1 technology throughout the forefoot, which gives an added edge in comfort for volleyball players. The VS-1 absorbs shock and enhances cushioning properties by resisting compression-set, which will extend the cushioning life of the shoe. VS-1 technology allows the shoe to remain lightweight and returns to its original shape after impact.
They also feature Mizuno’s SensorPoint suspension system technology that connects the Wave plate to the ground, enhancing stability and traction. The upper of the Wave Lightning 6 Men’s Volleyball Shoes features Mizuno’s unique AirMesh technology. AirMesh provides three layers of mesh in the upper that provide for increased ventilation and dissipation of heat and warm air. AirMesh is arguably the most noticeable feature of the Wave Lightning 6 as many volleyball players will notice the increased breathability right away.
Mizuno’s Wave Lightning line has consistently been among the top volleyball shoes out there. With new, advanced technologies, look for the Wave Lightning 6 to continue its domination in 2010.

Comments about Mizuno Wave Lightning 6 Men's Volleyball Shoes:
This is an amazing product. I have been using them for about 2 weeks now and have nothing but good things to say about them. I play volleyball about 4 times a week and owned a pair of wave lightning 3's before I purchased these. I feel that these are better in every category. they keep my feet far more comfortable because they breath remarkably well. The grip is fantastic and jumping and landing is very comfortable. I would recommend these shoes to any serious volleyball player.

Comments about Mizuno Wave Lightning 6 Men's Volleyball Shoes:
These are my first pair of Mizunos and I can't complain! They're extremely light, attractive, breathable, and great traction. They also fit great as expected with the Mizuno DX ankle braces. What's surprising however about the feel, is that the sole feels very thin and unpadded. Maybe it's the arch or pronation, but my feet feel much more connected to the floor; it's a strange feeling but it has no negative effects when jumping and it feels fine.

Comments about Mizuno Wave Lightning 6 Men's Volleyball Shoes:
It's much better then all of the new Asics volleyball shoes. right now, it's best in the market you can find for volleyball. I have been playing volleyball for over 30 years. Not good for super athletes. Unfortunate, their are no better volleyball shoes for sale in the US.

Comments about Mizuno Wave Lightning 6 Men's Volleyball Shoes:
I play volleyball 3-4 times a week and started out with basketball shoes. They were heavy and made me feel clumsy. These Mizuno's were exactly what i was looking for. They are so comfortable, light, and grip so well. I wouldn't go for any other shoe when you have this option.

Comments about Mizuno Wave Lightning 6 Men's Volleyball Shoes:
My past shoes were mizuno wave lighting 3 and lasted for about 5 years with an average use of 2 times per week , and they were great that´s why was a nobrainer for another mizuno shoes.I receive my new WL 6 and are just great , a lot lighter and the same stability and grip as my last ones. If you use ankle supporters these shoes are great since their sides are soft so they do not apply a big presure on your feet.My only concern was the size , i bought the same size as my last shoes and they does not correspond to the size for the new ones , i had to buy them half size bigger than last ones [...]

Comments about Mizuno Wave Lightning 6 Men's Volleyball Shoes:
I play fairly competitive indoor doubles, three times a week.
I switched to these shoes after using Asics 1130V's for several years. What I first noticed, and another reviewer had said this, if that these Mizunos ran a half size small. I had to get them stretched (as opposed to sending them back).
The other thing I have noticed is that they are very "grippy." On a gym floor, there is no slide at all to them, as there were with the Asics. This has taken some adjustment, especially in doubles, which requires a lot of running and stopping. I was stopping a quarter step short on passes and sets.
I am slowly getting used to them, and I think that I will like them. They are lighter than the Asics, and quicker "off the block." They seem stable also, as I have had no ankle or feet problems using them. But, honestly, at my level, they are probably "too much shoe" for me.

Comments about Mizuno Wave Lightning 6 Men's Volleyball Shoes:
I am a middle-hitter which means I am moving a lot and these shoes really help having stable position and protecting the feet.
The feel a bit rigid at first but after a while they wear in and are very comfortable.
Though as they are not very cheap ones, I am using them only indoors. Also would like a bit more colors to choose from.

Comments about Mizuno Wave Lightning 6 Men's Volleyball Shoes:
These shoes are great I only have one minor complaint. For practice we do alot of running and these are not running shoes. They are good for jumping but if your on your feel for long periods of time you begin to know it. I have played in several all day tournements and by the end of the day you know what you've been doing. Other than that i love these shoes.

Comments about Mizuno Wave Lightning 6 Men's Volleyball Shoes:
This is my first volleyball specific shoe, so I can't personally compare it to other volleyball specific models. I considered Tornado, Sensei and Volleycross. I went for the Lightning because of their light weight and reputation with other players. I've used these for about a month now, and I absolutely love the shoe!!! Previously I used court shoes, which are light, stable, have good traction, but aren't so good in the shock absorbing department. I am using a gel insert along with this shoe, so essentially I am doubled up on shock absorption. It doesn't seem to hurt the stability at all, and my knees feel oh so good. The shoes are a tiny bit taller than my court shoes too, which doesn't hurt with hitting and blocking.
