Asics GEL-Volleycross 2 Men's Volleyball Shoes

The Asics GEL-Volleycross 2 Men's Volleyball Shoes are a new update for 2010 to the popular GEL-Volleycross line of volleyball shoes from Asics. The Men's GEL-Volleycross 2 builds upon the success of the previous Volleycross, which revolutionized the volleyball world by combining the best aspects of a running shoe with the comfort and performance of a volleyball shoe. Combining the weight and mobility of running shoes with the stability and power of volleyball shoes helps players make quick, comfortable movements on the court.

The GEL-Volleycross 2 brings back many features from last year, including Asics' popular GEL Cushioning System. The GEL Cushioning System, located in the rearfoot and forefoot of these shoes, helps attenuate shock during impact and toe-off phases and also allows movement in multiple planes as the foot transitions through the gait cycle. This allows volleyball players to make quick cuts and changes in direction, all supported and cushioned thanks to the GEL Cushioning System. The GEL-Volleycross 2 Men's Volleyball Shoes also feature an asymmetrical lacing design that helps reduce potential for irritation and provides improved comfort and fit.

The second generation Volleycross also features Asics P.H.F or Personal Heel Fit technology. P.H.F. provides 2 layers of memory foam that line the collar and mold to the athlete's heel, creating a personalized fit. Over time, the P.H.F. foam will contour to the specific shape of the heel, which makes for a customized fit, increasing comfort and performance throughout the life of the shoe. The solyte midsole material featured in the GEL-Volleycross 2 is a lighter weight midsole compound than other midsoles found in Asics volleyball shoes. This midsole is much lighter than even standard EVA and SpEVA midsoles, and improves cushioning and stability of the shoes. This allows the shoe to weigh just 11.3 ounces.

The outside of the GEL-Volleycross 2 features an NC Rubber compound that contains more natural rubber content than traditional rubber, providing enhanced traction on the court. Utilizing the NC Rubber outsole, volleyball players can make quick movements without losing traction on the court. Additionally, these volleyball shoes also feature Asics Trusstic System to reduce the weight of the sole while also retaining the structural integrity of the shoe. This provides a lightweight volleyball shoe that does not sacrifice stability.

Aided by the GEL Cushioning System and NC Rubber outsole, the Men's GEL-Volleycross 2 provides volleyball players with stability and traction almost unheard of. Quick lateral movements and cuts can be performed effortlessly without losing traction.
