The shoe is extremely light, weighing in at just 8.5 ounces, and allows players to move freely without being weighed down. The upper on the GEL-Volleycross 2 GS features a special RhynoSkin technology, which provides an abrasion and tear resistant synthetic leather for increased upper durability.
These Youth Volleyball Shoes feature Asics' GEL Cushioning System in the forefoot and rearfoot of the shoe, which helps attenuate shock during impact and toe-off phases and allows movement in multiple directions as the foot transitions through the gait cycle. Simply put, any movement is fully supported and cushioned. Asics has also added an asymmetrical lacing design, which helps reduce potential for irritation and provides improved comfort and fit. Asics has also included its Biomorphic Fit technology found on the upper, which helps reduce buckling and the potential for irritation. The GEL-Volleycross 2 GS also features an improved NC Rubber Outsole, a compound containing more natural rubber content than traditional solid rubber, providing enhanced traction on the court. Asics High Abrasion Rubber also strengthens the outsole and provides for superior durability when combined with the NC Rubber Outsole of the GEL-Volleycross 2 GS. These youth shoes also feature a removable ComforDry sockliner, which helps provide room for medical orthotics or ankle braces. This sockliner also provides special anti-microbial properties for a cooler, drier, healthier environment that also offers improved cushioning.
