The Asics GEL-Domain 2 Men's Volleyball Shoes are a fresh update to the popular Men's GEL-Domain Volleyball Shoes from Asics that provide volleyball players and court enthusiasts with a unique combination of cushioning and stability. New for 2010, the GEL-Domain 2 retains all of the same features of the previous GEL-Domain shoe, and sports an updated, sleek look. The GEL-Domain 2 provides volleyball players with the ultimate in cushioning, thanks to Asics GEL Cushioning System found in the rearfoot and forefoot. GEL Cushioning helps attenuate shock during the impact and toe-off phases, allowing movement in multiple planes as the foot transitions through the gait cycle. Simply put, the GEL Cushioning system provides for an extremely soft, comfortable fit perfect for active volleyball players.
Also featured is Asics P.H.F. or Personal Heel Fit technology, which provides two layers of memory foam, which line the collar of the shoe. Asics P.H.F. memory foam molds to the athlete's heel, creating a personalized fit over time and increasing comfort significantly. The upper on the Asics GEL-Domain 2 features special RhynoSkin technology to provide an abrasion and tear-resistant synthetic leather upper that significantly increases the durability of the upper, allowing these shoes to last longer than ever before. The outsole of the GEL-Domain 2 also features Asics' popular NC Rubber compound, which contains more natural rubber content than traditional solid rubber outsoles found in other volleyball shoes. The GEL-Domain 2 also features Asics SpEVA Midsole Material to improve bounce-back characteristics and decreases midsole breakdown for improved comfort and performance at the midsole.
