I bought several pairs of the socks since this seems to be the most popular one being prescribed by VB club teams...these were for my daughter.
I tried getting them at the nearby Sports stores and even at a VB club shop and all I got was 1 pair (must really be a very popular sock). I believe in the saying that you wear to training/ practice what you will use during actual games...hence the need for several pairs.
The initial reaction to the pair I got was that it was very light, not too bulky/padded to make the shoe fit very snugly...the calf area fits just right around my daughter's legs (not too lose/ not too tight).
She tried it out during their regular 3 hour practices and she was ok with it...not too thin a padding but still gives great support/ compression. She just finished a 10-hour tournament last weekend where she got a blister on 1 foot...I don't know if it's the length of the games or if it's due to the socks or a combination of both. The VB club season is just starting so I will just update the review if I find out anything else re the sock's performance under high use.
