I wore the T2 active ankles while playing volleyball for about 10 years and never had a problem. I decided to purchase the Volts along with new shoes and so far they have been fine. It takes a little time to place them properly in the shoe but once you find that comfort zone you'll barely notice that they're there. They offer great support and are pretty comfortable (once you find the right spot in your shoe and break them in a bit).

unfortunately the ankle brace hurt my feet, maybe it needs a lot of wear before it can mold to my feet.

I use the ankle supports for Basketball. It's taken a while to get them settled in where they are comfortable, but they are exceptionally effective. I am very prone to rolling my ankle - I can guarantee an ankle sprain once a week, if I'm not wearing braces. With these braces, I've never had an ankle sprain. I had an older version of these (from 1989), that were exceptional for 20 years hard use in Basketball.
